High Performance Elements

This webinar defines a new geometry for twin-screw extruder elements which promotes elongational flow (versus shear flow) for intermeshing and co-rotating twin-screw extruders.

The concept of elongational flow (also known as extensional flow) allows for dispersion with lower energy input and eliminates the pressure peaks associated with Erdmenger-style (i.e. traditional) kneading elements. This webinar provides an overview of this new family of elements for dispersive and distributive mixing applications.
